ArtCenter Says He Joined Its Board on October 27, 2023.

On November 21, 2023, ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena published “ArtCenter College of Design Welcomes New Trustees.” The release said Nike digital-product-design leader Dantley Davis and Penske executive Paul Rainey “began their role on the Board as of October 27, 2023.”

The college’s bio block: Davis “is currently the global vice president of digital design at Nike,” with a team “responsible for Nike’s commerce, retail and fitness apps”; prior design-team leadership at Twitter, Meta, Netflix, and PayPal; a B.S. in information systems from the University of San Francisco and an MBA from the University of San Francisco School of Management. That is the school’s announcement, quoting its own bio. PayPal here is the college’s sentence, still not a PayPal PR page.

A trusteeship at a private design college is a documented civic/education role. It is not a U.S. government office.
